Children need color and excitement, strong characters and entertaining storylines to keep them captivated and engaged… Here are five things that help make reading fun: Look for bright colors, entertaining illustrations and stunning photography throughout every book. Ensure the program offers a variety of genres – traditional tales, fables, fiction and informational. Boys need excitement – look for modern, intriguing topics with plenty of visual action on every page. Children love meeting new friends – a good program will introduce a variety of characters who return at higher reading levels.
